Main Body (Make 2 identical halves – Top and Bottom)
R1: Start with a MR, make 6 sc into the ring. (6 stitches)
R2: Inc in each stitch around. (12 stitches)
R3: (Sc in next stitch, inc in next stitch) x 6. (18 stitches)
R4: (Sc in next 2 stitches, inc in next stitch) x 6. (24 stitches)
R5: (Sc in next 3 stitches, inc in next stitch) x 6. (30 stitches)
R6-R10: Sc in each stitch around for 5 rounds. (30 stitches)
Sl st into the next stitch and FO. Leave a long tail on both pieces for sewing the zipper.
Eyes (Make 2)
R1: Start with a MR, make 6 sc into the ring. (6 stitches)
R2: Inc in each stitch around. (12 stitches)
R3-R4: Sc in each stitch around for 2 rounds. (12 stitches)
Insert safety eye between R2 and R3. Lightly stuff the eye.
R5: (Sc in next stitch, dec in next stitch) x 4. (8 stitches)
FO, leave a long tail for sewing.
Crown
Cut a small crown shape from the gold glitter felt or fabric. The crown should be proportional to the frog’s head.
Assembly
Attach Eyes: Using the yarn needle and the tail from the eyes, securely sew the two eyes onto the top half of the main body, spacing them appropriately to resemble a frog.
Embroider Mouth: Using brown embroidery floss and a yarn needle, embroider a curved ‘V’ shape for the mouth just below the eyes on the top half of the body.
