Necklace Strand Assembly
Arrange the 6 Flower Motifs (3 pink, 3 cream) and 5 Small Connecting Motifs (2 pink, 3 cream, or vice versa) alternately along the length you desire, starting and ending with a Flower Motif. The image shows: Pink Flower, Cream Connecting, Pink Flower, Cream Connecting, Pink Flower, Cream Connecting, Cream Flower, Pink Connecting, Cream Flower, Pink Connecting, Cream Flower.
Using Yarn C (gold metallic thread), work as follows:
Step 1: Attach Yarn C to the top-most point of a petal on the first Flower Motif. Ch3, 1sc into a sc on the edge of the first Small Connecting Motif. Ch3, 1sc into a petal point of the next Flower Motif. Continue this linking sequence, creating small arches between the motifs. Ensure the motifs are spaced evenly and lay flat.
Step 2: Once all motifs are linked, work a decorative edge along the top and bottom of the entire necklace strand. *Work 3sc into a ch3 space, picot, 3sc into the next ch3 space, sl st into the center of a petal.* Continue this pattern along both edges, creating a scalloped finish.
Pendant Assembly
The pendant consists of two main parts: a larger top section and a smaller dangling bottom section.
Larger Pendant Section:
Step 1 (Inner Flower): Create one Main Flower Motif in Yarn B (pink). Sew one pearl to its center.
Step 2 (Frame): With Yarn A (cream), ch5, sl st to form a ring. Ch1, 10sc in ring. Ch1. Attach the Yarn B flower to this ring by sl st into the back of the scs of the ring and the back of the flower.
Step 3 (Outer Frame): With Yarn C (gold), attach to the outer edge of the Yarn A frame. Work (ch5, sc in next sc of Yarn A frame) around, creating 5-6 arches.
Step 4 (Lace Extensions): From two opposite sides of the Yarn C frame, ch10-12, then sl st back down the chain to the frame. These create the decorative ‘loops’ seen on the sides of the pendant.
Smaller Dangling Pendant Section:
Step 1 (Inner Flower): Create one Main Flower Motif in Yarn B (pink). Sew one pearl to its center.
Step 2 (Frame): With Yarn A (cream), ch4, sl st to form a ring. Ch1, 8sc in ring. Ch1. Attach the Yarn B flower to this ring similar to above.
Step 3 (Outer Frame): With Yarn C (gold), attach to the outer edge of the Yarn A frame. Work (ch4, sc in next sc of Yarn A frame) around, creating 4-5 arches.
Joining Pendant Sections:
Connect the top of the smaller dangling pendant section to the bottom center of the larger pendant section using a small arch of Yarn C (ch3, sc, ch3) or by carefully sewing together with Yarn C.
Final Assembly
Sew the remaining 4 pearls onto the centers of four of the cream flower motifs along the necklace strand, distributing them evenly.
Carefully sew the top center of the Larger Pendant Section to the very center of your assembled necklace strand using Yarn C and a sewing needle.
Attach one half of the jewelry clasp to each end of the necklace strand. Reinforce with a few extra stitches.
