Round 2 (Petals): *Ch 2, dc in same st, tr in same st, dc in same st, ch 2, sl st in same st, sl st in next sc* repeat 6 times. Fasten off, leaving a 6-inch tail for sewing.

Working on the other side of the foundation chain: Ch 1, sl st in the same last ch (at the leaf tip), sc in the next available loop of the foundation chain, hdc in the next, dc in the next 2, hdc in the next, sc in the next, sl st into the very first ch. Fasten off, leaving a 6-inch tail for sewing.
Necklace Assembly
Before starting assembly, pre-string all freshwater pearls and faceted amethyst beads onto your gold crochet thread using a beading needle if needed. You’ll work with the beads directly on the thread.
Step 1: Create the Upper Garland Strand (Gold Thread)
Start with Gold thread. Ch 50 (this will be the initial length before the embellished section).
Now, begin incorporating pearls and flowers/leaves: *Ch 5, sl st into a flower (using one petal’s loop for attachment), ch 5, slide up a pearl, ch 3, sl st into a leaf, ch 3, slide up a pearl, ch 5*. Repeat this sequence, varying the order of flowers, leaves, and pearls to create a natural, flowing garland (approximately 7-8 flower/leaf clusters in total for the central portion). Ensure the flowers are mostly facing forward.
After the embellished section, Ch 50 more stitches to complete the upper strand. Fasten off.
Step 2: Create the Lower Garland Strand (Gold Thread)
Repeat the process for the Upper Garland Strand. This time, you will attach leaves and pearls predominantly. *Ch 5, slide up a pearl, ch 3, sl st into a leaf, ch 3, slide up a pearl, ch 5*. Vary placement to complement the upper strand, adding a few flowers if desired.
Ensure the embellished section aligns roughly with the upper strand’s embellished part. Fasten off.
Step 3: Join the Garland Strands & Add Faceted Beads
Lay the upper and lower garland strands parallel on a flat surface, aligning the embellished sections.
Using the gold thread tails from your flowers and leaves, gently sew the elements to both the upper and lower strands where they naturally meet, securing the two strands together in places.
At key points where the strands are joined (especially towards the center), use a short piece of gold thread to attach a faceted amethyst bead, securing it with a small knot to dangle from the lower garland.
Step 4: Create the Central Drop
From the absolute center of the lower garland, attach a small piece of gold thread (approx. 8 inches). Secure with a small knot.
Ch 5, sl st into a flower (Amethyst or Lilac). Ch 3, sl st into a leaf. Ch 3, slide up an Amethyst faceted bead. Ch 3, sl st into another leaf. Ch 5.
Securely fasten this dangling piece to the bottom-most center of the lower garland, ensuring the bead hangs freely. Weave in ends.
Step 5: Finishing
Carefully weave in all remaining loose ends using a tapestry needle, ensuring all knots are secure and hidden.
Using jewelry pliers, attach a jump ring to one end of the necklace and the lobster clasp to the other end. Attach another jump ring to the clasp side for easier closure.
