Assembly of Necklace
This necklace is constructed by joining individual motifs. Refer closely to the image for precise placement and symmetry.
I. Central Droop (Below Central Medallion):
Join 3 SBLM at their bases with a sl st to form a cluster. Attach this cluster with a sl st to the bottom point of the Central Medallion.
Create a cluster of 5 SBLM. Attach it directly below the first cluster with a sl st.
Create a cluster of 3 SBLM. Attach it directly below the second cluster with a sl st.
II. Necklace Strands (Left & Right – Work Symmetrically):
Start from the upper side of the Central Medallion and work outwards towards the back of the neck.
Initial Connection: Attach a cluster of 3 SBLM (joined at bases) with a sl st to the side of the Central Medallion (e.g., at the base of an outer cream petal).
Sequence (Repeat for each side, adjusting length as needed):
From the attached SBLM cluster, ch 3. Attach 1 SCFM with a sl st to the ch-3 space.
From the SCFM, ch 3. Attach a cluster of 3 SBLM (joined at bases) with a sl st to the ch-3 space.
From the SBLM cluster, ch 3. Attach 1 SCFM with a sl st to the ch-3 space.
Continue alternating between clusters of 3 SBLM and single SCFM, connecting them with ch-3 spaces. As you move towards the back of the neck, the motifs may become slightly less dense, or the connecting chains may be slightly longer.
At the very end of each strand, attach a small clasp for closure. Weave in all ends securely.
