Bracelet Band & Assembly (Leaf Green Yarn)
The band is worked as one continuous piece, with the sunflower and leaves sewn onto the central portion.
Step 1 (First Tie): Ch 30. This forms one of the adjustable ties.
Step 2 (Central Band): Ch 20 (this section will be the base for the sunflower).
Step 3 (Work into Central Band): Starting in the 2nd ch from hook (the 21st ch from your original starting knot), make 1 sl st in each of the next 19 chs. This creates a flat, sturdy cord.
Step 4 (Second Tie): After completing the 19 sl sts, ch 30. This forms the second adjustable tie.
Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
Step 5 (Attach Sunflower): Using the yarn needle and the tail from the central band, sew the sunflower securely to the center of the 19 sl st portion of the green band.
Step 6 (Attach Leaves): Position one leaf on each side of the sunflower, slightly behind the petals as seen in the image. Using the tails from the leaves, sew them securely to the green band.
Step 7 (Add Beads): Thread one small wooden bead onto each of the Ch 30 ties. Make a knot at the end of each tie to secure the bead.
