Measure your wrist circumference and the width between your watch lugs. Each vine section will extend from a watch lug.
With Green yarn, Ch 30 (adjust this length based on your wrist size; this will be for one side of the watch. You’ll need enough length to attach to the watch and then for the floral arrangement. Consider an average of 3-4 inches per side, excluding the watch face).
Row 1: Sl st in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across. (29 sl st). Ch 1, turn.
Row 2: Sl st in each sl st across. Fasten off, leaving a long tail (at least 12 inches) for sewing.
Assembly:
Attach Vines to Watch: Using the long tail from one green vine section and your tapestry needle, securely stitch one end of the vine to one watch lug (where the pin usually goes). Repeat for the second vine section on the other watch lug. Ensure they are firmly attached.
Arrange Flowers & Leaves: Lay out the prepared flowers, leaves, and buds along the green vine sections. Refer to the image for inspiration, clustering flowers and interspersing leaves and buds to create a natural, blooming effect around the watch face and along the strap.
Sew Embellishments: Using the tails left on each flower, leaf, and bud, securely sew them onto the green vine base. Weave in all loose ends carefully on the back of the strap.
Attach Clasp: On one end of the assembled floral strap, attach a metal watch clasp (using small jewelry pliers if needed). On the other end, attach a jump ring or a short piece of metal chain to connect to the clasp, allowing for adjustability.
