Instructions
This pattern creates individual floral elements and a ring band, which are then assembled.
Deep Fuchsia Flowers (Make 3)
Using Color A:
Rnd 1: Make a MR, ch 1, 6 sc into MR. Join with sl st to first sc. (6 sc)
Rnd 2 (Petals): [Ch 2, (dc, tr, dc) in next sc, ch 2, sl st in same sc] Repeat 6 times. FO, leaving a tail for sewing.
Light Pink Flowers (Make 3)
Using Color B:
Rnd 1: Make a MR, ch 1, 5 sc into MR. Join with sl st to first sc. (5 sc)
Rnd 2 (Petals): [Ch 1, (hdc, dc, hdc) in next sc, ch 1, sl st in same sc] Repeat 5 times. FO, leaving a tail for sewing.
White Tiny Flowers (Make 6-8)
Using Color C:
Rnd 1: Make a MR, ch 1, 4 sc into MR. Join with sl st to first sc. (4 sc)
Rnd 2 (Petals): [Ch 1, 2 sc in next sc, ch 1, sl st in same sc] Repeat 4 times. FO, leaving a tail for sewing.
Before assembling, sew a small pink or yellow seed bead into the center of each white flower.
Green Leaves (Make 8-10)
Using Color D:
Ch 5.
Sl st in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next ch, hdc in next ch, dc in last ch. FO, leaving a tail for sewing.
Ring Band
Using Color D:
Method 1 (Crocheted Band): Ch 4 (this forms the width of the band).
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across. (3 sc)
Row 2-X: Ch 1, turn, sc in each sc across. Repeat until the band is long enough to comfortably wrap around your finger (approx. 40-50 rows for an average size, measure as you go). FO, leaving a long tail. Sew the ends together to form a seamless ring.
Method 2 (Covering a Metal Ring Blank): Obtain an adjustable metal ring blank or a pre-formed wire ring base. With Color D yarn, make a slip knot and insert your hook through the ring blank. Yarn over and pull up a loop, yarn over and pull through both loops (this creates a single crochet stitch around the ring blank). Repeat this stitch, pushing the stitches together, until the entire visible part of the ring blank is covered. Join with a sl st and FO. (This method is often sturdier)
Assembly
Carefully arrange the Deep Fuchsia flowers first, overlapping them slightly to create a fuller base.
Next, layer the Light Pink flowers on top of the fuchsia ones, centering them.
Finally, place the White Tiny Flowers in clusters among the pink layers to fill gaps and add accents, as seen in the image.
Tuck the Green Leaves around the base of the flower cluster, ensuring they are visible and provide a natural frame.
Using your tapestry needle and the yarn tails, securely sew all the floral components together and then onto the crocheted ring band. Use fabric glue for extra security if desired, applying sparingly to the underside of the flowers. Weave in any remaining loose ends.
