Instructions
This pattern is worked in rounds for the flower and then the band is added.
Flower Center (Yellow Yarn)
Round 1: Start with a MR, ch 1 (does not count as a stitch), work 6 sc into the MR. Pull tail to close the ring. Join with a sl st to the first sc. (6 sc)
Fasten off Yellow yarn.
Petals (Hot Pink Yarn)
Round 2: Attach Hot Pink yarn to any sc stitch from Round 1 with a sl st.
Into the same stitch: (ch 2, 2 dc, ch 2, sl st). This completes one petal.
Repeat the petal sequence (ch 2, 2 dc, ch 2, sl st) into each of the remaining 5 sc stitches around. You should have 6 petals in total.
Join with a sl st to the first sl st of the round.
Fasten off Hot Pink yarn, weave in ends.
Ring Band and Leaves (Light Green Yarn)
The band is created in one continuous piece, incorporating small leaf-like elements where it attaches to the flower. Adjust chain length for your finger size.
Attach Light Green yarn to the back of the flower, at the base of any petal, with a sl st.
First Leaf Point: Ch 5, sl st in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next ch, hdc in next ch, dc in last ch. (This creates a small pointed shape).
Ring Band: Continue chaining for the ring length. Approximately ch 30-35 for an average finger size. Hold around your finger to estimate desired length.
Second Leaf Point: Ch 5, sl st in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next ch, hdc in next ch, dc in last ch. (This creates the second pointed shape).
Join Ring: Join the end of this second leaf point to the back of the flower, directly opposite where you started the first leaf point, with a sl st. Ensure the ring band is not twisted.
Fasten off Light Green yarn, leaving a short tail.
Finishing
Weave in all remaining loose ends using your yarn needle to secure them neatly.
Gently shape your flower and ring to ensure it sits comfortably.
