Fasten off, stuff lightly, and pull the tail through the remaining stitches to cinch closed. Attach a tiny loop of green yarn to the top of the cherry to form the stem.
Assembly and Details:
- Using colorful scrap embroidery thread or yarn, sew tiny vertical stitches randomly across the white frosting piece to resemble decorative sprinkles.
- Sew or hot-glue the cherry to the top center of the white frosting.
- Lightly stuff the blue cupcake base with fiberfill. Sew or hot-glue the frosting on top of the base, aligning the scalloped edge just over the top rim of the blue base.
- Apply a generous line of hot glue along the flat top of your metal alligator hair clip. Press the bottom of the completed cupcake firmly onto the clip and hold until completely dry and secured.
