Head & Body (Worked in one piece):
Using Light Brown yarn:
R1: 6 sc in MR (6)
R2: 6 inc (12)
R3: (1 sc, inc) * 6 (18)
R4: (2 sc, inc) * 6 (24)
R5-8: sc in each st around (24)
Insert 4mm safety eyes between rounds 6 and 7, leaving about 4 stitches in between.
R9: (2 sc, dec) * 6 (18)
Start stuffing the head lightly with fiberfill.
R10: (1 sc, dec) * 6 (12)
R11: (1 sc, inc) * 6 (18)
R12-14: sc in each st around (18)
R15: (1 sc, dec) * 6 (12)
Stuff the body firmly.
R16: 6 dec (6)
Fasten off, close the hole, and weave in your ends.
Belly Patch:
Using Cream yarn:
Ch 5. Starting in the second chain from the hook, work: 3 sc, 3 sc in the last chain. Turn to work along the opposite side of the chain: 2 sc, 1 inc in the starting chain.
Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Sew the belly patch onto the front of the body.
Ears (Make 2):
Using Light Brown yarn:
R1: 5 sc in MR. Sl st to join. Fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing.
Using pink yarn, embroider a small loop in the center of each ear to represent the inner ear pink detail. Sew ears to the top of the head.
Arms (Make 2) & Seed:
Using Cream yarn for arms:
Ch 4, start in 2nd ch from hook, sl st in each of the 3 chains. Fasten off.
Using beige yarn for the seed:
Ch 3, sl st in the 2nd ch, sc in the next. Fasten off.
Assembly:
Sew the arms to the sides of the body so they meet in front.
Glue or sew the seed between the hamster’s hands.
Using pink yarn, embroider a tiny nose right between the eyes. Use dark brown thread to embroider the mouth line and short whiskers on the cheeks.
Apply hot glue carefully to the flat back of the hamster and press it firmly onto the metal hair clip. Let it dry completely before use.
