Closing the Base:

Opening Border:
Join Cream yarn at the bottom of the circular opening. Work 1 round of sc evenly around the raw edges of the opening to create a clean, round frame. Join with a sl st and fasten off.
Ears (Make 2 Outer in Gray, 2 Inner in Cream):
Inner Ear (Cream): Ch 5, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 2 chs, 3 sc in last ch. Turn to work along opposite side: sc in next 3 chs. Fasten off.
Outer Ear (Gray): Repeat instructions for Inner Ear, but do not fasten off. Place the Inner Ear on top of the Outer Ear, matching stitches, and work sc through both layers around the curved edge to join them. Sew ears to the top sides of the dome.
Muzzle:
With Gray yarn, ch 6. Rnd 1: sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 3 chs, 3 sc in last ch. Work along opposite side: sc in next 3 chs, inc in last ch. Rnd 2: inc, sc in next 3 sts, inc in next 3 sts, sc in next 3 sts, inc in last 2 sts. Fasten off, leaving a long tail. Embroider a nose and mouth with black yarn. Sew the muzzle to the front center of the face, lightly stuffing with fiberfill before closing.
Assembly:
Insert safety eyes on either side of the muzzle. Crochet simple tube paws using gray yarn (6 sc in magic ring for 4 rounds) and sew them to the front bottom base of the bed.
