Crochet Pattern: Mini Crochet Hanging Succulent Keychain Free Pattern
Materials
- Sport weight cotton yarn in Sage Green and Beige
- 2.0 mm crochet hook
- Polyester fiberfill
- Keychain ring with lobster clasp
- Tapestry needle
- Scissors
Abbreviations
- MR – magic ring
- ch – chain
- sc – single crochet
- hdc – half double crochet
- inc – increase
- sl st – slip stitch
- BLO – back loop only
- FLO – front loop only
Instructions
Mini Pot (Beige):
Rnd 1: 6 sc in MR (6)
Rnd 2: inc around (12)
Rnd 3: (sc, inc) around (18)
Rnd 4: BLO sc around (18)
Rnd 5-8: sc around (18). Fasten off and weave in ends.
Soil Insert & Leaves (Green):
Using green yarn, repeat Rnds 1-3 of the pot. Do not fasten off. We will now work the petals directly in FLO.
Rnd 4: (In FLO: sl st, ch 2, 2 hdc, ch 2, sl st in next stitch) repeat around to create outer petals. Fasten off leaving a long tail for sewing.
For the center succulent detail: Ch 12. In 2nd ch from hook, make (sl st, ch 2, hdc, ch 2, sl st), skip 1 ch, repeat across. Roll this strip into a small rosette and sew to the center of your green base.
Assembly & Hanger:
Stuff the pot lightly. Sew the green soil insert into the top of the beige pot using the back loops. For the hanger, attach beige yarn to the rim of the pot. Chain 12, attach to the opposite rim side, chain 12, and attach to the back rim to form three hanging strands. Gather the strands at the top, tie securely, and attach to your metal keychain clasp.
