Instructions
Cactus Body: Using light green yarn, work flat in rows to create vertical ribs.
Row 1: Ch 13, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across, turn. (12 sc)
Row 2-24: Ch 1, BLO sc across, turn. (12 sc)
Fasten off, leaving a long tail. Sew the foundation row to the last row to form a tube. Thread the tail through the stitches of one open end, pull tightly to close the top of the tube, and secure.
Base: Using dark green yarn, work in continuous rounds.
Rnd 1: MR, 6 sc (6)
Rnd 2: inc in each st around (12)
Rnd 3: [sc, inc] x 6 (18)
Fasten off, leaving a tail. Stuff the light green body firmly, then sew the dark green base to the bottom opening of the body.
Roof: Using brown yarn, work in continuous rounds.

Cactus Arms (Make 2): Using light green yarn.

Rnd 2-5: sc in each st around (6). Fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing.
Door: Using tan yarn.
Row 1: Ch 4, sc in 2nd ch from hook and next ch, 3 sc in the last ch. Work along the opposite side of the chain: sc in the next 2 ch. Fasten off, leaving a tail.
Chimney: Using brown yarn.
Rnd 1: MR, 4 sc (4)
Rnd 2-3: sc in each st around (4). Fasten off, leaving a tail.
Assembly and Details:
- Embroider small white French knots across the ribbed lines of the green body to mimic cactus spines.
- Sew the door to the bottom-center of the body. Embroider a tiny black doorknob.
- Embroider two small window squares on either side of the door using brown yarn.
- Sew the two arms to the sides of the cactus body.
- Stuff the roof slightly and sew it onto the top of the cactus body.
- Sew the chimney to the side of the roof.
- Embroider small flowers using pink and yellow embroidery thread near the roof edge.
- Securely attach the keychain chain to the peak of the roof.
