Rnd 3-22: sc in each st around (9)
Start stuffing lightly with fiberfill as you crochet.
Rnd 23: (sc, dec) * 3 (6)
Fasten off, leaving a tail to sew the opening closed. Weave in ends.
Bun (Beige Yarn, worked in rows then folded):
Ch 16.
Row 1: Start in 2nd ch from hook, 14 sc, 3 sc in last ch. Turn to work on the opposite side of the chain: 13 sc, inc (32)
Row 2: inc, 13 sc, 3 inc, 13 sc, 2 inc (38)
Row 3: sc, inc, 14 sc, (sc, inc)*3, 14 sc, (sc, inc)*2 (44)
Row 4-9: sc in each st around (44)
Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
Mustard and Relish Details:
With Yellow yarn, embroider a wavy line down the center of the sausage to represent mustard using a surface chain stitch or simple straight stitches.
With Green yarn, embroider tiny french knots or short straight stitches on both sides of the mustard to look like relish green specks.
Assembly:
Place the sausage inside the folded bun. Securely sew the bun around the sides of the sausage, leaving the top open so the hot dog peeks out just like a real one. Attach the metal keychain ring securely to the top end of the sausage.
