Instructions
Flower Center (Yellow Yarn)
Round 1: Create a Magic Ring (MR), ch 1 (does not count as a stitch), work 8 sc into the MR. Pull tail to close ring. Join with a sl st to the first sc. (8 sts)
Inner Green Ring (Green Yarn)
Round 2: Ch 1, *sc in the next sc, ch 1*. Repeat from * 7 more times. Join with a sl st to the first sc. (8 sc, 8 ch-1 spaces)
Fasten off Green yarn.
First Petal Layer (Cream/Off-White Yarn)
Round 3: Attach Cream yarn with a sl st into any ch-1 space from Round 2.
*Sl st into the ch-1 space, ch 2, work 2 dc into the same ch-1 space, ch 2, sl st into the same ch-1 space.* Repeat from * 7 more times, working into each ch-1 space around. Join with a sl st to the very first sl st of this round. (8 small petals)
Fasten off Cream yarn.
Second Petal Layer (Cream/Off-White Yarn)
Round 4: Attach Cream yarn with a sl st into the back loop of any sc from Round 2 (the green round). This layer will sit behind the first layer of petals.
*Ch 2, work (DC, TR, DC) all into the same back loop, ch 2, sl st into the back loop of the next sc from Round 2.* Repeat from * 7 more times around. Join with a sl st to the very first sl st of this round. (8 larger petals)
Fasten off Cream yarn, leaving a long tail for attaching to the ring band.
Ring Band (Cream/Off-White Yarn)
Using Cream yarn, ch 50. (Adjust chain length as needed for your finger size. Wrap the chain around your finger to test.)
Row 1: Sc in the 2nd ch from the hook and in each ch across. (49 sc or 1 less than your starting chain)
Do NOT fasten off.
Assembly
Using the remaining yarn tail from the Second Petal Layer, secure the flower to the center of the ring band by sewing through the base of the flower and the middle of the band. Weave in ends securely.
Take the working loop from the end of the ring band (from the last sc you made) and sl st it to the other end of the band to form a loop. Sl st several times to secure the join.
Weave in all remaining loose ends with a tapestry needle.
