Instructions
This pattern creates a delicate floral bracelet. Each element is made separately and then assembled onto a vine-like band.
Main Flower (Dark Purple, Medium Purple, Cream/White, Yellow)
Center (Yellow):
Using yellow thread, make a MR. Ch 1, work 6 sc into MR. Sl st to first sc. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
First Layer Petals (Cream/White):
Attach cream/white thread to any sc of the yellow center. (Ch 2, 2 dc, ch 2, sl st) into the same sc. Repeat (Ch 2, 2 dc, ch 2, sl st) into each of the remaining 5 sc. You should have 6 small petals. Fasten off.
Second Layer Petals (Medium Purple):
Attach medium purple thread behind the first layer, into the space between two cream petals (or into the base of a cream petal). (Ch 3, 3 dc, ch 3, sl st) into this space. Repeat around for 6 slightly larger petals. Fasten off.
Third Layer Petals (Dark Purple):
Attach dark purple thread behind the second layer, into the space between two medium purple petals. (Ch 4, 1 tr, 2 dc, 1 tr, ch 4, sl st) into this space. Repeat around for 6 larger petals. Fasten off. The flower should now have three distinct layers of petals.
Small Leaves (Light Green) – Make 3-4
Using light green thread, Ch 6.
Starting in the 2nd ch from hook: sl st, sc, hdc, sc, sl st. Ch 1, turn.
Working on the opposite side of the chain: sl st, sc, hdc, sc, sl st. Sl st to join. Fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing.
Small Buds (Light Purple/Lilac) – Make 2-3
Using light purple/lilac thread, make a MR. Ch 1, 4 sc into MR. Pull ring closed tightly. Sl st to first sc.
Ch 3, sl st into the same stitch to create a small point for the bud. Fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing.
Bracelet Band (Light Purple/Lilac, Cream/White, Light Green)
Cut three long strands of thread (approx. 40 inches each) in Light Purple/Lilac, Cream/White, and Light Green.
Hold the three strands together and make a starting knot, leaving a 6-inch tail. Braid these three strands tightly until the desired bracelet length is achieved (approx. 6-7 inches, or to fit your wrist). Tie an ending knot, leaving a 6-inch tail.
Assembly
Using your yarn needle, carefully sew the Main Flower to the center of your braided bracelet band. Secure firmly.
Arrange and sew the Small Leaves around the main flower, as desired, to create a vine effect.
Sew the Small Buds along the braided band, extending from the main flower, to complete the floral vine look.
On one end of the braided band, sew the small wooden button securely. Ensure it’s placed where the band can loop around it.
On the opposite end, create a small loop using the tail and a few sl sts to fit snugly around your button. Weave in all remaining ends.
