Assembly
Eyes: Position the safety eyes between R18 and R19 of the basket body, about 8-10 stitches apart, centered above where the snout will be. Secure washers on the inside.
Snout: Pin the snout to the front of the basket, centered below the eyes. Sew securely around the edge using the long tail.
Nose: Using black worsted weight yarn and a tapestry needle, embroider a triangular nose onto the cream snout. Fill in the triangle, then embroider a vertical line down from the point of the triangle to create the mouth line.
Ears: Pinch the open edge of each ear flat. Position one ear on top of the basket, slightly towards the side, around R24-R25, and sew securely. Repeat for the second ear on the opposite side.
Handle (Brown Yarn)
Cut three long strands of brown chunky yarn, each about 30-36 inches long (adjust for desired handle length). Hold the three strands together and braid them tightly to form a sturdy rope-like handle. Knot the ends to secure the braid.
Attach each end of the braided handle securely to the top rim of the basket, directly opposite each other, by weaving the knotted ends through the stitches and knotting them securely on the inside of the basket. Trim any excess yarn.
