Instructions
Part 1: Floral Medallion Motif (Make 6)
Rnd 1: Start with a Magic Ring (MR). Ch 1 (does not count as st), work 12 sc into the ring. Join with sl st to first sc. (12 sc)
Rnd 2: Ch 1, sc in same st. *Ch 4, skip 1 sc, sc in next sc.* Repeat 5 more times around. Ch 4, sl st to first sc to join. (6 sc, 6 ch-4 loops)
Rnd 3 (Petals): *Sl st into first ch-4 loop. Ch 3 (counts as dc), (dc, tr, picot, tr, dc) into the same ch-4 loop. Ch 3, sl st into next sc (from Rnd 2, between the ch-4 loops).* Repeat 5 more times. Sl st to join. FO, leaving a long tail (approx. 6 inches) for joining.
Part 2: Assembling the Watch Band
1. Join Motifs: Take three of your finished motifs. Lay them in a line, side by side. Using the long tail from one motif and your yarn needle, carefully whip stitch or use an invisible stitch to join them where their edges naturally meet. Ensure they are aligned perfectly to form a continuous strip. Repeat this process for the other set of three motifs. You will now have two strips, each with three motifs.
2. Create Watch Attachment Loops:
For the first strip of three motifs, identify the ‘outer’ edge of the first motif (the one that will connect to the watch). Attach a new strand of crochet thread to the center-top of this edge with a sl st.
Ch 12 (adjust chain length as needed to fit your watch’s lug width). Sl st back into the motif at the center-bottom of the same ‘outer’ edge to form a loop.
Work 5-7 sc stitches around the chain loop to reinforce it. Sl st back into the motif to secure. FO and weave in ends.
Repeat this step for the ‘outer’ edge of the first motif on your second strip of three motifs. You now have two crochet bands, each with an attachment loop.
3. Attach to Watch:
Carefully remove the existing watch band from your watch by detaching the spring bars from the lugs.
Thread one spring bar through the crocheted loop on one of your bands.
Position the spring bar back into the watch lugs, securing the crocheted band to one side of the watch.
Repeat for the second crocheted band and the other set of watch lugs.
