Crochet Pattern: Cute Mini Crochet Popcorn Machine Keychain Pattern
Materials
- Sport weight yarn in Red, White, Yellow, and Black
- Embroidery floss in Beige
- 2.0 mm crochet hook
- Polyester fiberfill stuffing
- Plastic canvas sheet (for structure)
- Two gold brad pins (for wheel hubs)
- Keychain ring
- Yarn needle and scissors

- sc – single crochet

Instructions
Red Cabinet Base:
Using red yarn, chain 11.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across, turn (10 sts).
Row 2-8: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn (10 sts).
Now, work in rounds around the rectangle to build the sides of the cabinet.
Rnd 9: Ch 1, working in BLO, sc around all four sides of the rectangle (36 sts).
Rnd 10-18: Sc in each st around (36 sts). Sl st to first st and fasten off. Cut a small rectangular piece of plastic canvas to fit inside the bottom and walls to help maintain the sharp box shape.
Cabinet Legs (Make 2):
Using red yarn, start with a MR.
Rnd 1: 5 sc in MR.
Rnd 2-4: Sc around (5 sts). Fasten off, leaving a long tail to sew onto the bottom of the cabinet base (opposite side of the wheels).
Glass Chamber Pillars (White):
Using white yarn, join with a slip stitch to one of the front corners of the red cabinet base.
Pillar 1: Ch 7, sc in 2nd ch from hook and next 5 chs. Sl st back into the base. Repeat for all four corners to create the upright pillars.
Crochet Popcorn Filling:
Using yellow and cream yarn, create a small ball of popcorn to place inside the glass chamber.
Rnd 1: 6 sc in MR.
Rnd 2: [Sc, pop stitch in next st] repeat around. Stuff lightly and sew to the top of the red cabinet, inside the white pillars.
Roof (Red & Canopy):
Using red yarn, chain 11.
Row 1-8: Repeat the base instructions to create a matching top rectangle.
Rnd 9: Working around the outer edge, work sc around all four sides (36 sts).
Rnd 10: Working in BLO, sc in each st around.
Change to white and red yarn to make the striped canopy. Alternate [3 sc in Red, 3 sc in White] around, working 3-dc shells in the FLO to create the scalloped canopy edge.
Black Wheels (Make 2):
Using black yarn, start with a MR.
Rnd 1: 6 sc in MR.
Rnd 2: Inc in each st around (12 sts).
Rnd 3: [Sc, inc] around (18 sts). Fasten off. Attach to the bottom sides of the red cabinet using gold brads or rivets for a realistic look.
Assembly and Details:
Embroider the word ‘POPCORN’ using beige embroidery thread on the front red panel of the cabinet. Sew the canopy and roof to the top of the four white pillars. Finally, attach the keychain ring firmly to the top loop of the red roof.
