Instructions
Strap Bands (Make 2)
Using Off-white/Ecru yarn. Each strap connects to one side of your watch face. Adjust starting chain and length to fit your wrist and watch lug width.
Starting Loop for Watch Pin: Ch 12 (adjust to desired width, e.g., 10-12mm for fine yarn). Sl st into the first ch to form a ring. Alternatively, work a row of sc into the ch to create a strip, then fold and sew around the watch pin. For this pattern, we will assume creating a base loop that connects to the watch pin.
Attach to Watch Pin: Secure the ch 12 loop around one watch pin. Work a row of 10-12 sc stitches directly around the watch pin, catching the chain loop as you go. This will form a secure base. Ch 3 (counts as first dc), turn.
Lace Pattern – Row 1 (RS): Dc into the 3rd sc from your hook. *Ch 1, sk 1 sc, dc in next sc*. Rep across the row of sc stitches. You should have a row of open squares. (Example: 10 sc stitches would yield 5 dc and 4 ch-1 sps). Ch 3 (counts as dc), turn.
Lace Pattern – Row 2 (WS): *Ch 1, dc in next dc*. Rep across, ending with dc in the top of the turning ch. Ch 3 (counts as dc), turn.
Repeat Lace Pattern: Continue repeating Row 2 until your strap reaches the desired length for one side of your wrist (from watch lug to the side of your wrist where the clasp will be). Leave enough room for the watch face and the connecting chain/clasp.
Final Edge for Clasp: Work a row of sc across the last row of the lace pattern. Then, ch 8-10, sl st into the last sc to create a small loop for attaching the clasp/chain. FO, leaving a tail for weaving in.
Lily Petals (Make 6)
Using White yarn. Each petal is worked flat.
Ch 8.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, hdc in next 2 ch, dc in next 3 ch, hdc in last ch. Ch 1, turn. (7 sts)
Row 2: Sc in first st, hdc in next st, dc in next 3 sts, hdc in next st, sc in last st. Ch 1, turn. (7 sts)
Row 3: Sl st in first st, sc in next st, hdc in next 3 sts, sc in next st, sl st in last st. FO, leaving a long tail for sewing. (7 sts)
Lily Center (Stamens & Pistil)
Using Green and Yellow yarn.
Pistil Base (Green): Ch 3, sl st to first ch to form a tiny ring.
Stamens (Yellow): Join yellow yarn into the ring. *Ch 5, sl st into the base of the chain (forming a small loop)*. Rep 3-4 times to create 3-4 stamens. FO, leaving a tail.
Pull the tails through the ring to secure.
Lily Leaf/Stem (Make 1)
Using Green yarn.
Ch 8.
Row 1: Sl st in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 2 ch, hdc in next 2 ch, sc in next 2 ch. FO, leaving a long tail for sewing.
Assembly
Join Petals: Using the tails from the petals and your tapestry needle, lightly overlap the bases of the 6 petals and sew them together in a circle to form the lily flower.
Attach Center: Securely sew the Lily Center into the middle of the assembled petals.
Attach Flower & Leaf to Strap: Position the finished lily flower onto one of the crochet watch strap bands. Sew it securely in place. Arrange and sew the green leaf/stem next to the flower on the strap.
Attach Clasp: Use jump rings to attach one end of the jewelry chain to the loop created on one strap band. Attach the lobster clasp to the other end of the jewelry chain using a jump ring.
Final Connection: Use a jump ring to attach the other strap band’s loop directly to the lobster clasp. This allows for adjustable sizing by clipping the lobster clasp into different links of the chain.
