Assembly
Eyes: Using white yarn, embroider small white ovals where the eyes will go. Then, using black yarn, embroider a small black pupil in the center and a thin line above for an eyelid, mimicking the image.
Beak: Sew the Gold/Tan beak onto the front of the head, between the eyes.
Crown: Sew the three Gold/Tan crown pieces to the top of the head.
Side Feathers: For each side feather, layer the Gold/Tan inner ring on top of the Green base, then the Royal Blue center on top of the Gold/Tan. Sew all three layers together. Then, sew one assembled side feather to each side of the peacock’s body, slightly towards the back.
Tail Feathers: For each tail feather, layer a Gold/Tan inner ring on top of a Green feather base, then a Royal Blue center on top of the Gold/Tan. Sew all three layers together. Arrange the 7 assembled tail feathers in a fan shape on the peacock’s back. Start by sewing the bottom row of feathers, then layer the next row slightly overlapping, until all are attached. Securely stitch each feather in place.
